The air training corps is the best youth organisation in Britain and you can be part of it. The Corps was founded in 1938 as the Air Defence Cadet Corps. Its main objectives in those days were to prepare young men for a life in the Royal Air Force or the Fleet Air Arm. Over the years we have not only changed our name but just about the whole organisation, open now to both boys and girls aged between 13 and 18.
The Air Training Corps or Air Cadets aswe are better known, now have a much wider outlook and a more modern approach to achieving our objectives. The objectives or aims of the ATC are laid out in our Royal Warant. These are :-

Whilst there are still strong links between the Corps and the RAF you wont be signing up for a life in the services if you decided to join us. You would however be starting the enjoyable and rewarding part of your youth. all we will want from you is commitment and spirit. |
